CES 2025 has unveiled groundbreaking advancements in mobile gaming technology. A key highlight is Krafton's announcement of the AI-generated "Co-Playable Character" (CPC), a new concept debuting in PUBG and inZOI. This isn't your typical NPC; the CPC leverages generative AI to create Non-Playable Characters with dynamic interactions.
inZOI's implementation, dubbed "Smart Zoi," promises characters with distinct personalities and emotional depth, enhancing the realism of the simulation.
PUBG's "PUBG Ally" will adapt its strategies to complement player actions, potentially creating exciting (or unsettling) gameplay dynamics.
Developed in collaboration with NVIDIA ACE, CPCs facilitate real-time conversations that evolve based on the in-game context. “Our partnership with NVIDIA showcases AI's transformative power in gaming; we're committed to pushing the boundaries of what's achievable," states Kangwook Lee, Head of Krafton's Deep Learning Division.
