Having read the Harry Potter series countless times, I find the magic never fades. While the films offer one way to revisit the story, the illustrated editions bring a fresh perspective that’s hard to resist. Though the full series isn’t yet illustrated, a new interactive edition of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire is set to release in October, available for preorder now.
Distinct from Jim Kay’s illustrated books, these interactive editions combine stunning artwork with paper-engineered features that leap off the page. You can preorder this new edition at Barnes & Noble or Amazon, with the best savings currently at Amazon.
Out October 14, 2025This edition boasts 150 vibrant, full-color illustrations and pop-up-style elements. Illustrated by Karl James Mountford with papercraft by Jess Tice-Gilbert, it marks a shift from the MinaLima team, whose interactive editions ended after The Prisoner of Azkaban. While the style differs, this release is a treat for collectors eager to complete their set.

Jim Kay’s illustrated editions currently cover only the first five books. After Kay stepped away in 2022, the future of illustrated versions for The Half-Blood Prince and The Deathly Hallows remains uncertain, though there’s hope a new illustrator will complete the series.
