It was just revealed at Star Wars Celebration that Hayden Christensen will officially return as Anakin Skywalker in Season 2 of Ahsoka. This exciting news promises more thrilling interactions between Ahsoka and her former master, delighting fans eager for more of their dynamic.
Christensen made a special appearance at the Ahsoka panel during Star Wars Celebration, sharing his enthusiasm about reprising the role. "It was a dream to get to do," he remarked. "The way they conceived how to do it was brilliant in getting to explore the World Between Worlds. I thought it was all really exciting."
Ahsoka series creator Dave Filoni playfully noted his determination to collaborate with Christensen again, humorously stating, "I had to invent entire dimensions to make it happen." Their discussions extended to Anakin's activities during the Clone Wars, offering fans a deeper look into his character.
"All of this had been presented well in the animated world, but I was really excited to do that in live action," Christensen shared. "As much as I love the traditional Jedi robes I wore during the prequels, it was exciting to get to see Anakin with a new look."
Later in the panel, Filoni discussed how their mutual experiences working with George Lucas fostered a strong connection, enabling them to enhance Anakin's character portrayal. "I always have George's voice in the back of my head saying, 'faster, more intense!'" Christensen added, reflecting on the influence Lucas had on their work.
