Hearthstone Reveals StarCraft Mini-Set Details and Release Date

Hearthstone's Heroes of StarCraft Mini-Set: A Massive Expansion Arriving January 21st

Get ready for the biggest Hearthstone Mini-Set yet! Launching January 21st, Heroes of StarCraft packs a whopping 49 new cards, blending the universes of Hearthstone and StarCraft.

This expansive Mini-Set introduces class-specific and multi-class StarCraft faction cards. Expect Zerg-themed cards for Death Knight, Demon Hunter, Hunter, and Warlock, Protoss cards for Druid, Mage, Priest, and Rogue, and Terran-themed cards for Paladin, Shaman, and Warrior, each featuring unique mechanics. A single neutral Legendary card, Grunty, rounds out the collection.

The Mini-Set's design leverages existing mechanics from The Great Dark Beyond expansion, such as the Starship mechanic, adding new Starship Pieces and strategies. Zerg cards focus on summoning Zerglings and leveraging Hydralisks, while Protoss cards emphasize mana manipulation to play powerful cards like the Carrier. The Terran cards enhance Starship play.

Pricing reflects the Mini-Set's substantial size. A complete set costs $20 (or 2500 gold), while individual faction packs (Protoss, Terran, or Zerg) are available for $10 (or 1200 gold). The all-Golden version is priced at $80 (or 12,000 gold).

To celebrate the launch, Hearthstone is hosting two streamed events:

• StarCast (January 23rd, 10 AM PST): Featuring StarCraft legends TrumpSC and Day9 showcasing the new cards.
• HearthCraft (January 24th, 9 AM PST): Hearthstone community creators will battle it out, representing each StarCraft faction.
