My Hero Academia Game Ends After Four-Year Run

My Hero Academia: The Strongest, the popular mobile action RPG based on Kohei Horikoshi's acclaimed anime, is officially ending its service. Xin Yuan Studios recently announced the game's closure, bringing an end to its global run which began in May 2021. Published by Sony Pictures Television, KOMOE Game Corporation, and A-Plus Japan, the game allowed players to immerse themselves in the My Hero Academia universe, recruiting beloved characters like Deku, Bakugo, and Todoroki for thrilling missions within a richly detailed open world.

My Hero Academia: The Strongest Shutdown Date:

The game's servers will be permanently shut down on March 31st, 2025. On February 24th, 2025, the game was removed from the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store, and in-app purchases were disabled. After March 31st, all official social media accounts will be deactivated. However, customer support will remain available for an additional 30 days to address any player inquiries. Players who made purchases between January 25th and February 24th, 2025, are eligible for a refund before the server shutdown. A farewell gift is planned for all remaining players, including SSS+ Limited Time Heroes and 100,000 Hero Coins. Details can be found on the game's official website.

Reasons for Shutdown:

The closure of My Hero Academia: The Strongest, while unfortunate, isn't entirely unexpected in the often-volatile gacha game market. Despite a strong initial launch featuring engaging PvP combat and a weighty combat system, the game experienced a decline over time. A lack of significant updates following its first anniversary, coupled with reported mismanagement, ultimately contributed to its closure. Its four-year lifespan, considering the infrequent updates, is arguably a testament to its initial appeal and dedicated player base.
