Xbox recently teased WWE 2K25 with screenshots showcasing updated character models for CM Punk, Damien Priest, Liv Morgan, and Cody Rhodes, strongly suggesting their inclusion in the playable roster. While no official release date has been announced, speculation points towards a March 2025 launch, mirroring the release schedule of WWE 2K24.
The identity of the WWE 2K25 cover star remains a mystery, although a Steam page leak has fueled considerable speculation. Official confirmation, however, is promised for January 28, 2025. This anticipation is further heightened by the diverse range of potential cover athletes, from wrestling legends like Stone Cold Steve Austin and The Rock to current superstars such as Cody Rhodes, Rhea Ripley, and Bianca Belair.
The Xbox Twitter reveal, timed with WWE RAW's Netflix debut, generated significant buzz. Fans praised the improved likeness of characters like Cody Rhodes and Liv Morgan, and inquiries about Xbox Game Pass availability quickly surfaced.
Confirmed Playable Characters:
While these four are confirmed, the full roster remains undisclosed. The recent shifts in WWE talent, including both departures and new signings, have fueled intense speculation among fans eager to see their favorites represented. Names like Jacob Fatu, Tama Tonga, and the newly revamped Wyatt Six are among the highly anticipated additions.
Although the initial announcement came from the official Xbox account, WWE 2K25 is expected to launch on PlayStation and PC platforms as well. Whether it will be a current-gen exclusive remains unconfirmed. A link on the WWE Games Twitter account directs to a wishlist page featuring Xbox, PlayStation, and Steam logos, promising further details on January 28, 2025.
