Mortal Kombat 1's Official Kombat Pack DLC introduces Omni-Man as a playable guest fighter, with J.K. Simmons returning to voice the iconic character. Here's what fans can expect from the Academy Award-winning actor's performance in the brutal fighting game.
The complete Mortal Kombat 1 roster has been revealed, including all base fighters, Kameo Fighters, and Kombat Pack characters. While the game's cinematic trailers demonstrate faithful 3D adaptations of the classic 2D character designs, NetherRealm Studios had previously remained silent about voice actor confirmations - leaving fans questioning whether they'd hear familiar voices in the new installment.
During a 2023 San Diego Comic Con interview with Skybound, Mortal Kombat co-creator Ed Boon confirmed J.K. Simmons would reprise his role as Omni-Man. The acclaimed actor originally voiced the character in Amazon Prime's Invincible animated series.
Omni-Man joins the fight as part of Mortal Kombat 1's Official Kombat Pack DLC. When pressed for details about Omni-Man's in-game representation, Boon remained cryptic but promised fans would see gameplay reveals and promotional content leading up to the September 19, 2023 launch, particularly surrounding Omni-Man's debut.
