John Cena's unexpected heel turn at WWE Elimination Chamber sent shockwaves through the wrestling world, marking his first time as a WWE 'bad guy' in over two decades. This surprising shift in his character narrative became even more notable when Cena cleverly engaged with the ongoing meme about the long-awaited release of Grand Theft Auto 6 (GTA 6). The meme, born from the 12-year wait for Rockstar to release the game, humorously points out the unexpected events that have occurred before GTA 6's release.
Cena, known for his role as a beloved 'good guy' in WWE and his record-breaking involvement with Make-A-Wish, embraced the meme by posting an image of GTA 6 on Instagram, alongside its anticipated 2025 release window. This playful nod to his 21 million followers was not a hint at his involvement in the game but rather a fun engagement with the meme culture surrounding GTA 6's delayed release.
While some fans speculated that Cena's post might be a cryptic hint about GTA 6, it's more likely just a light-hearted social media moment. The anticipation for GTA 6 has led fans to analyze every possible clue, from release dates to trailer announcements.
As we approach the fall 2025 launch window confirmed by Take-Two, the excitement continues to build. Meanwhile, a former Rockstar developer shed light on why GTA 6 will first launch on PS5 and Xbox Series X and S before coming to PC, urging PC gamers to remain patient and trust the studio's plans.
For more on GTA 6, including insights from Take-Two's Strauss Zelnick on the future of GTA Online post-GTA 6 release, stay tuned.
