Initially announced in June 2024 with only a brief teaser and title, Kaiju No. 8 The Game has now entered the spotlight with global pre-registration open. After almost a year without updates, fans of the popular manga and anime can look forward to gearing up for a fresh Kaiju-Slaying Battle RPG on mobile and PC.
Developed in collaboration by Akatsuki Games, TOHO, and Production I.G., this upcoming RPG brings Naoya Matsumoto's universe to life with striking visuals, cinematic battles, and faithfully adapted characters and Kaiju. Pre-registration is accessible worldwide via the App Store, Google Play, and Steam, accompanied by a new full-length trailer that previews the experience.
Kaiju No. 8 The Game merges cinematic style with an innovative approach to turn-based combat. Players can unleash powerful Ultimate Moves when a Kaiju's core is revealed and take command of iconic Defense Force members such as Mina Ashiro, Soshiro Hoshina, and Kikoru Shinomiya.
Each character has been meticulously recreated with detailed 3D models and signature attacks taken directly from the series. The game emphasizes strategic team coordination and impactful finishing moves, making every encounter feel like a scene from the anime.
