Let the demon hunting begin! Netflix is bringing the iconic video game series "Devil May Cry" to life with an exciting new anime adaptation, and we've just been treated to a tantalizing trailer. But perhaps even more thrilling is the news that the legendary late voice actor Kevin Conroy will posthumously star in this thrilling game-to-screen adaptation.

Conroy, celebrated for his iconic portrayal of Bruce Wayne and Batman across numerous animated films and TV series, takes on the role of VP Baines, a new character introduced in the series. You can hear his distinctive voice right at the beginning of the trailer, setting the stage for what promises to be an unforgettable journey.

PlayConroy's posthumous performance in "Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths: Part 3" back in July 2024 received widespread acclaim, making his appearance in "Devil May Cry" all the more special. Fans will cherish another opportunity to experience his remarkable talent following his passing in November 2022 at the age of 66. Joining Conroy in the cast are Scout Taylor-Compton as Mary, Hoon Lee as White Rabbit, Chris Coppola as Enzo, and Johnny Yong Bosch lending his voice to the protagonist, Dante.

According to the official synopsis from Netflix, "Sinister forces are at play to open the portal between the human and demon realms. In the middle of it all is Dante, an orphaned demon-hunter-for-hire, unaware that the fate of both worlds hangs around his neck."

Adi Shankar, known for his work as executive producer on films like the 2012 "Judge Dredd" reboot, "Killing Them Softly," and "The Voices," will serve as the showrunner for the series. Shankar is also attached to an "Assassin’s Creed" adaptation, though its long-awaited release remains uncertain.

Studio Mir, the acclaimed South Korean studio behind "The Legend of Korra" and "X-Men ‘97," will handle the production of this highly anticipated series. "Devil May Cry" is set to premiere on Netflix on April 3, 2025, promising fans a thrilling blend of action, drama, and the supernatural.
