The First Berserker: Khazan has just released a thrilling new gameplay trailer that provides fans with an exciting look at the various boss fights they can expect. Unveiled during IGN Fan Fest on February 27, 2025, the trailer from South Korean developer Neople showcases Khazan battling an intriguing umbrella-wielding boss along with two other formidable beasts.
The umbrella-wielding boss appears to play a significant role, possibly within the main storyline, as the trailer included a brief cutscene leading into the battle. However, due to the lack of a visible HUD during the fight, specific details about this boss remain undisclosed. Additionally, the trailer introduced two other bosses: a wolf-like creature named Shactuka and a ram-like beast wielding a hammer and spike, known as the Specter of Bhangau.
A standout moment from the trailer was Khazan's transition into what appears to be an Awakened form. This transformation shifts his appearance from the familiar samurai aesthetic to a more imposing figure enveloped in a red glow and encased in full body armor. In this state, Khazan wields a variety of weapons, unleashing a series of enhanced attacks that allow for faster movements and more dynamic combat.
Throughout the trailer, viewers got a glimpse of the game's combat mechanics, including blocking enemy projectiles, executing parries, and delivering rapid combos. Despite the ferocity of Khazan's attacks, the minimal impact on the bosses' health bars underscores the game's challenging Souls-like nature. While Neople has not officially confirmed details about this Awakened form, the trailer suggests it will enable Khazan to inflict significant damage and execute extensive combos using diverse weapons.
For those eager to dive into the action, The First Berserker: Khazan offers a free demo available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, allowing players to experience the first two missions. The full game is slated for release on March 27, 2025, across the same platforms.
