Kingambit Joins Pokémon Go in Crown Clash Event Next Month

As you wrap up the Sweet Discoveries event, get ready for the regal excitement of the Crown Clash event in Pokémon Go, set to take place from May 10th to 18th. This event promises a royal experience with the debut of Kingambit, the Big Blade Pokémon, alongside crowned versions of Nidoqueen and Nidoking, and a bounty of other rewards.

Kingambit will make its grand entrance during the Crown Clash. To add this powerful Pokémon to your roster, you'll need to evolve Bisharp. But here's the catch: Bisharp must be your buddy, and you'll need to defeat 15 Dark- or Steel-type Pokémon in Raid Battles. No need for Bisharp to do the fighting—just bring it along and collect those victories.

Adding to the royal flair, Nidoqueen and Nidoking will don shiny new crowns, and if luck is on your side, you might encounter their Shiny versions as well. These crowned Pokémon will be featured in three-star raids, while one-star raids will include Sneasel, Klink, and Pawniard.

In the wild, you'll encounter frequent spawns such as Slowpoke (which could lead to a King’s Rock), Slakoth, Piplup, Combee, Snivy, and Litleo. Keep an eye out for Pawniard, which will also appear more often.
