LEGO Unveils Jango Fett's Starship and New Star Wars Sets Before May the Fourth

May 03,2025 Author: Lucas

LEGO has announced the launch of nine exciting new Star Wars sets, all set to hit the shelves on May 1, 2025. This release is part of Disney's extensive celebration of May the 4th, also known as Star Wars Day, which LEGO traditionally marks with a new addition to their Ultimate Collector Series Starship lineup. In 2023, LEGO released Luke's X-Wing Starfighter, followed by the TIE Interceptor in 2024.

This year, fans can look forward to Jango Fett's Firespray Starship, famously known as Slave I among longtime Star Wars enthusiasts. Due to a name change initiated by Disney in 2021, which LEGO has confirmed, the ship is now referred to as Jango Fett's Firespray Starship. This change reflects Disney's efforts to avoid associating the term 'slave' with their brand, and it appears to be permanent.

The latest rendition of this iconic starship, inspired by its appearance in Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones, boasts an impressive 2970 pieces. This is nearly three times the size of the previous large-scale model released in 2019 to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the ship's appearance in The Empire Strikes Back, which had 1007 pieces. The new set measures 7.5 inches high, 17.5 inches long, and 15.5 inches wide, promising an engaging and detailed building experience.
