Today, they offer entertainment and relaxation, much like the riverboat cruise my wife and I enjoyed during our New Orleans honeymoon, filled with dining, dancing, and live jazz.

This set is a true delight for LEGO enthusiasts. The River Steamboat includes a jazz lounge and a dining room, but it doesn't stop at aesthetics. It features practical areas such as a boiler engine room connected to the paddle wheel, which turns when you push the boat. The pilothouse comes with a functional steering wheel that rotates the rudder at the boat's base. There's also a kitchen and sleeping quarters for the crew, an anchor on a chain, and rigging to raise and lower boarding stages at the bow.

The build, comprising 4,090 pieces, is thoughtfully organized into 32 bags. You start with the ship's base, which houses the boiler room and a miniature nautical museum showcasing a piston engine, an aeolipile, and a Watt steam engine.
