The Lenovo Legion 5i is a powerhouse designed for gamers seeking top-notch performance. It boasts a 16" 2560x1600 QHD+ IPS display, powered by an Intel Core i7-14650HX processor and a GeForce RTX 4070 GPU. With 32GB of DDR5 RAM and a 512GB SSD, this laptop is geared up for smooth multitasking and high-speed storage.
The Intel Core i7-14650HX is a 14th gen marvel with a max turbo frequency of 5.2GHz, 16 cores, 24 threads, and a 30MB cache, making it a versatile chip that outperforms the newer Intel Core Ultra 7 in gaming scenarios.
The RTX 4070 mobile GPU, with its 140W TGP (including Dynamic Boost), is robust enough to handle games at the native 2560x1600 resolution. It holds its ground well against the newer Blackwell cards, with the RTX 5070 Ti mobile GPU offering only a 10%-15% performance increase despite its significantly higher price.
We're in a transitional phase where deals on RTX 40 series laptops are becoming less common, and RTX 50 series laptops are still too new for their prices to drop significantly. With the current tariff situation adding complexity, securing a good deal like this one is becoming more challenging. This Lenovo Legion 5i deal stands out as particularly attractive in today's market.
