May 25,2025 Author: Mila

The highly anticipated single-player action game, Lost Soul Aside, has been delayed by three months, shifting its release date from May 30 to August 29, 2025, as announced by its developer, Ultizero Games. After nearly a decade of development, the game was set to launch next month on PC and PlayStation 5. However, a recent statement from the studio cited the need for additional time to enhance the game's polish, resulting in the new release date.

Ultizero Games expressed their gratitude for the overwhelming positive response from players worldwide since the game's announcement. "We remain committed to delivering a high-quality game experience," the studio stated. "To match the standards Ultizero Games have set for ourselves, we are going to take some additional time to polish the game. Lost Soul Aside will now release on August 29, 2025. We want to express our heartfelt thanks to our fans waiting for the launch."

Originally the brainchild of solo developer Yang Bing, Lost Soul Aside has evolved into a major title under Sony's China Hero Project. Bing, now the founder and CEO of Shanghai-based Ultizero Games, has seen his passion project grow significantly. In a recent interview with IGN, Bing discussed the challenging yet rewarding journey from a solo vision to a highly anticipated game featured in Sony's State of Play broadcast. The excitement surrounding Lost Soul Aside has been palpable, with many praising its unique blend of Final Fantasy-esque characters and Devil May Cry-style combat, a combination that captured global attention when Bing's initial reveal video went viral in 2016.

The protagonist, Kesar, wields a versatile shape-shifting weapon that allows players to switch between different combat styles. Accompanying Kesar is a dragon-like companion named Arena, who can summon powerful abilities to aid in battles. Drawing inspiration from its predecessors, Lost Soul Aside focuses on aerial dodging, precision timing, intricate combos, and countering mechanics, all set within epic boss fights. The game's narrative spans multiple dimensions, blending sci-fi elements with a contemporary aesthetic. While the trailers offer only glimpses of the storyline, Bing describes Kesar's journey as one of "redemption and discovery."
