Electronic Arts has officially announced the release date for the latest installment in the Madden NFL series, marking a significant shift to the current generation of gaming consoles. Madden NFL 26 is set to launch on August 14, 2025. Fans who opt for the Deluxe Edition can enjoy three days of early access, starting from August 11. The game will be available on a variety of platforms, including PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S, PC via the EA app for Windows, Steam, and Epic, as well as the newly introduced Nintendo Switch 2.
This release marks the first time the Madden NFL series will be playable on Nintendo's hybrid handheld console, the Nintendo Switch 2. However, this advancement comes with a trade-off as the game will not be available on the PlayStation 4 or Xbox One, signaling a complete transition to the newer console generations of PS5 and Xbox Series.
For those eager to pre-order, several options are available. Players who have previously enjoyed Madden NFL 25, 24, or 23 can take advantage of a loyalty offer, securing a 10% discount on their purchase and receiving a 99 OVR Player Pack for Madden NFL 25 Ultimate Team. Additionally, the MVP Bundle offers a comprehensive package, combining the Deluxe Editions of both Madden NFL 26 and College Football 26. Here's what you can expect from the Deluxe Edition of Madden NFL 26:
In addition to the Madden NFL announcement, EA also confirmed the launch date for EA College Football 26, set for July 10, and it will be exclusive to the PS5 and Xbox Series X and S.
