Madden NFL 26 Set for Release, Coming to Nintendo Switch 2, Skipping PS4 and Xbox One

Electronic Arts has officially announced the release date for the latest installment in the Madden NFL series, marking a significant shift to the current generation of gaming consoles. Madden NFL 26 is set to launch on August 14, 2025. Fans who opt for the Deluxe Edition can enjoy three days of early access, starting from August 11. The game will be available on a variety of platforms, including PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S, PC via the EA app for Windows, Steam, and Epic, as well as the newly introduced Nintendo Switch 2.

This release marks the first time the Madden NFL series will be playable on Nintendo's hybrid handheld console, the Nintendo Switch 2. However, this advancement comes with a trade-off as the game will not be available on the PlayStation 4 or Xbox One, signaling a complete transition to the newer console generations of PS5 and Xbox Series.
