Mario Kart World promises an expansive interconnected map filled with both new and reimagined classic courses. Highlights from the Direct include Mario Bros. Circuit, Crown City, Salty Salty Speedway, Starview Peak, Boo Cinema, Toad's Factory, Peach Beach, and Wario Shipyard. Fans will be thrilled to know that these older courses have been refreshed to seamlessly integrate into the new world, providing fresh experiences on familiar tracks.

With up to 24 racers per event, Mario Kart World boasts an extensive roster of characters. The Direct showcased a diverse lineup including Mario, Luigi, Peach, Daisy, Yoshi, Baby Peach, Baby Daisy, Baby Rosalina, Rosalina, Koopa, Rocky Wrench, Conkdor, Goomba, Spike, Cow, King Boo, Bowser, Donkey Kong, Waluigi, Baby Mario, Baby Luigi, Birdo, Bowser Jr., Lakitu, Toad, Wario, Pauline, Toadette, Shy Guy, Nabbit, Piranha Plant, Hammer Bro, Monty Mole, Dry Bones, Wiggler, Cataquack, Pianta, Sidestepper, and Cheep Cheep.

Mario Kart World introduces two main racing modes: Grand Prix and Knockout Tour. In Grand Prix, players race through multiple events to win cups like the Mushroom Cup and Flower Cup, with seamless transitions between courses due to the game's open-world design. Conquer all cups, and you might unlock the legendary Rainbow Road, complete with new challenges like bullet bill-shooting cars and hammer-throwing Hammer Bros.

Knockout Tour offers a battle-royale twist where racers must reach checkpoints within time limits or face elimination. Survive to the end to claim victory in events like the Golden Rally and Ice Rally.

Mario Kart World Free Roam

Free Roam mode allows players to explore the world at their leisure without the pressure of competition. Discover P Switches to activate blue coins and start missions that hone your skills. Hidden treasures like Peach Medallions and secret panels await, and the Photo Mode lets you capture your adventures. A visit to Yoshi's restaurant provides "Dash Food" for speed boosts and themed outfits inspired by dishes like cheeseburgers and sushi.

Playing Mario Kart World with Friends

Mario Kart World offers various multiplayer options, including four-player local play on a single system, local wireless play for up to eight players, and online races with up to 24 participants. Friends can join you in Free Roam to explore, race, or battle with custom rules. The Photo Mode is also available for group shots, and GameChat enables live video communication, enhancing the social experience.

PlayModes -----

In addition to the main racing modes, Mario Kart World includes Time Trials with online ghost data, customizable VS Mode with up to four teams, and a revitalized Battle Mode featuring Coin Runners and Balloon Battle.

Items

The game retains classic items like Bullet Bill and Lightning, while introducing new ones such as the Coin Shell, which knocks rivals off course and leaves a coin trail, the Ice Flower for freezing enemies, Hammers for attacking and blocking, the Mega Mushroom for size transformation, the Feather for jumping, and the Kamek item for mysterious transformations.

Support Features

To cater to players of all skill levels, Mario Kart World includes helpful features like Smart Steering, Tilt Controls compatible with Joy-Con 2 wheel, Auto-Use Item, Auto-Accelerate, and adjustable camera settings.
