Marvel Rivals, NetEase's popular hero shooter for consoles and PC, is set to collaborate with several top Marvel mobile games. Marvel Puzzle Quest, Future Fight, and Snap are confirmed participants.
While details remain scarce, a significant crossover event is anticipated, launching January 3rd. The announcement, made via Twitter, promises further information soon.
This isn't NetEase's first foray into Marvel's mobile landscape. Earlier this month, Marvel Snap introduced a season featuring characters prominently featured in Rivals, such as Galacta and Peni Parker, highlighting a synergistic relationship between the titles.
A New Kind of Competition
While calling Marvel Rivals an "Overwatch killer" might be an overstatement, its success is undeniable. This crossover presents a unique opportunity to boost the popularity of the mobile titles, a refreshing change from typical collaborations where console/PC games benefit most.
