Marvel Rivals, dubbed the "Overwatch killer," has enjoyed a hugely successful Steam launch, boasting over 444,000 concurrent players on its first day—a number rivaling the population of Miami. However, the game's success isn't without its challenges.
A rising concern is the increasing number of cheaters exploiting advantages like auto-targeting, wall-hacking, and one-hit kills. The community, however, reports that NetEase Games' anti-cheat measures are proving effective in identifying and addressing this issue.
Another key player complaint centers on optimization. Users with graphics cards like the Nvidia GeForce 3050 have reported noticeable frame rate drops. Despite this, many players find the game enjoyable and praise its less demanding monetization system, particularly the non-expiring battle passes, removing the pressure of needing to constantly grind. This feature alone could significantly impact player perception and enjoyment.
