Marvel's upcoming slate of films and television shows is extensive, but the most significant recent announcement is Robert Downey Jr.'s return to the MCU. He won't reprise his role as Tony Stark, but instead will portray the highly anticipated villain, Doctor Doom, in Avengers: Doomsday.
The specifics of how the former Iron Man becomes the Fantastic Four's nemesis remain undisclosed, but his role will be central to the next Avengers film. This follows the MCU debut of the Fantastic Four in The Fantastic Four: First Steps, slated for release in July 2025.
