Alienware's flagship Area-51 gaming laptops have arrived with cutting-edge upgrades across the board. Replacing the m-series lineup, these beasts feature refined designs, bleeding-edge components, and improved thermal solutions. For Dell's Memorial Day promotion, both the Alienware 16 and Alienware 18 models are seeing their first-ever discounts - all packing Nvidia's powerful Blackwell GPUs (RTX 5070 Ti, RTX 5080, and RTX 5090 variants). Shipping begins mid-June.
List Price: $3,499.99 | Memorial Day Price: $3,149.99 (10% off)
List Price: $4,049.99 | Memorial Day Price: $3,749.99 (7% off)

The massive Alienware 18 Area-51 functions more as a portable workstation than traditional laptop - clocking in at nearly 10lbs with a 0.95" profile. Its desktop-replacement design brings serious benefits: an expansive 18" display, full-size keyboard with numpad, enhanced cooling solution keeping fan noise minimal, and even RJ45 Ethernet connectivity.
Two discounted configurations stand out:
While slightly more compact at 7.5lbs and 0.85" thick, the Alienware 16 packs equivalent power with the same Intel Core Ultra 9 HX processor and RTX 5090 options. The streamlined form means sacrificing the numpad and Ethernet port, but retains incredible cooling capacity for intensive gaming sessions.
Current promotions include:
The Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX dominates mobile processing with 24 cores, 5.4GHz boost clocks, and 40MB cache - trading blows with AMD's Ryzen 9 7945HX3D.
GPU performance shines particularly bright:
The Area-51 series introduces magnesium alloy chassis construction with radically improved cooling:
Signature Alienware touches include customizable RGB lighting, sleek rounded edges concealing invisible hinges, and abundant ports (3x USB-A, 2x Thunderbolt, HDMI 2.1, card reader).
