Score a fantastic deal on the Meta Quest 3S VR headset! Amazon is currently offering a $50 discount, bringing the 256GB model down to just $349. This is a significant saving and represents arguably a better deal than Black Friday offerings, which often involved store-specific credits or gift cards. The increased storage over the base 128GB model is well worth the extra $50, especially for untethered play.
This incredible offer also includes a free copy of Batman: Arkham Shadow VR and a three-month trial of Meta Quest+. IGN's review of Batman: Arkham Shadow VR praised its successful adaptation of the Arkham series' gameplay to VR, giving it an 8/10 rating.

The Quest 3S surpasses the original Quest 2 in all aspects, remarkably without a price hike. It also boasts many features of the pricier Quest 3, including improved Touch controllers, an upgraded Snapdragon APU, and full-color AR passthrough. IGN awarded the Quest 3S a 9/10 rating, highlighting its processing power, passthrough capabilities, and responsive controllers, making it a groundbreaking entry-level mixed-reality headset.
A key advantage of the Quest 3S is its completely untethered gameplay. Enjoy titles like Beat Saber and Pistol Whip without needing a high-powered PC or PlayStation 5. This level of standalone VR performance at this price point is unmatched.
Quest 3S vs. Quest 3:
Even at full price, the Quest 3S is significantly more affordable than the Quest 3 ($200 or 40% cheaper). This price difference results in some compromises:

Differences:
The Quest 3S essentially offers a nearly identical experience with slightly downgraded optics. The lower resolution, however, may actually improve performance and account for the extended battery life due to reduced processing demands.
The Quest 3S offers exceptional value compared to both the Quest 3 and the previous generation Quest 2, making it a compelling choice for most VR gamers.
