MGS Delta Demo Theater Returns, ESRB Confirms

Apr 11,2025 Author: Camila

The ESRB rating for Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater (MGS Delta) has unveiled an exciting detail for fans: the return of the Peep Demo Theater. This feature, previously seen in the Subsistence and HD Collection versions of Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, allows players to view all cutscenes featuring the female spy EVA, but with a twist—she appears in her underwear. Players can manipulate the camera freely and zoom in on any part of her body, a feature that becomes available after collecting all other cutscenes, which requires four complete playthroughs of the game.

The M for Mature rating from ESRB is not unexpected, given the game's theme of an elite soldier navigating enemy lines, which naturally includes elements of violence and gore. However, the return of what some call the "Creepy mode" has surprised many fans, considering its controversial nature due to its explicit content.

MGS Delta Peep Demo Theater Returning As Revealed by ESRB Rating

The ESRB rating summary for MGS Delta confirms the faithful recreation of the original game, including the return of the Peep Demo Theater. This feature's inclusion highlights the developers' commitment to preserving the game's original elements, even those that stirred debate among the gaming community.

Faster Camouflage System

In other news, a welcome addition to MGS Delta’s gameplay is its quicker way to change camouflage. In a Twitter (X) post made by METAL GEAR OFFICIAL on March 28, a video showing an improved process to change camouflage was shown. The post read, "Change camouflage for faces, uniforms, and more on the fly with this new feature in METAL GEAR SOLID Δ: SNAKE EATER."

The new camouflage system in MGS Delta allows players to swap their camo in under three seconds, a significant improvement from the original Metal Gear Solid 3, where the process was much slower and cumbersome. The old method required players to pause the game, navigate through menus, and select the desired camouflage, which disrupted the game's pacing and immersion, particularly during stealth sections.

As the release date of Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater approaches on August 26, 2025, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, fans are eagerly anticipating this remake. They look forward to experiencing the classic game with both its returning features and quality-of-life improvements that promise to enhance their playthrough.
