Microsoft Launches Retro Classics Collection Through Game Pass

Microsoft has unveiled Retro Classics with Game Pass, partnering with Antstream Arcade to deliver more than 50 classic Activision titles from the 1980s and 1990s exclusively to subscribers.

The curated selection features iconic games including Commando, Pitfall!, MechWarrior 2: 31st Century Combat, Grand Prix, and Kaboom!, with some titles dating back nearly five decades. Notably, these classics now support cloud saves - a first-time feature for most of these vintage games.

Expanding Microsoft's Gaming Legacy

This initiative represents Microsoft's ongoing commitment to game preservation and backwards compatibility. Available across all Game Pass subscription tiers, Retro Classics will initially launch in existing Game Pass markets.

The program will gradually expand beyond its initial 50+ titles, eventually exceeding 100 classic Activision and Blizzard games through regular monthly additions.
