"Mission Impossible: The Final Reckoning" is set to be one of the standout films of 2025, and Tom Cruise along with the rest of the cast and crew have kicked things off with a bang by releasing a nostalgic Super Bowl LIX trailer just ahead of its theatrical release this May.
The 30-second trailer, unveiled during the Big Game, kicks off with Tom Cruise's character, Ethan Hunt, on the run, a nod to the franchise's high-octane beginnings. The trailer then treats fans to familiar shots from the original "Mission Impossible" and introduces beloved characters like Ving Rhames' Luther, Simon Pegg's Benji, Hayley Atwell's Grace, and Pom Klementieff's Paris. Audiences are also given a thrilling glimpse of the death-defying stunts that the team will tackle in this latest chapter. While Cruise's biplane scene promises to be one of the series' most intense sequences yet, "Mission Impossible: The Final Reckoning" seems poised to deliver even more surprises.
This latest installment follows directly from the events of "Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning" in 2023. Fans have been eagerly awaiting the resolution of this saga for nearly two years, and while "The Final Reckoning" marks the end of this particular storyline, the future of the franchise remains shrouded in mystery.
"Mission Impossible: The Final Reckoning" hits theaters on May 23, 2025.
