This action-adventure game, developed by Capcom, was released on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X and S, swiftly securing its place as the eighth most-played game on Steam ever, with an impressive peak of 987,482 concurrent users.
To put this into perspective, Monster Hunter Wilds has surpassed the all-time concurrent player peaks of popular titles such as Elden Ring, Hogwarts Legacy, and Baldur’s Gate 3. It has also outdone its predecessor, Monster Hunter World, which reached a peak of 334,684 concurrent players on Steam back in 2018. It's important to note that the true peak concurrent figure for Monster Hunter Wilds is likely even higher, considering that neither Sony nor Microsoft disclose player numbers for their platforms.
As Monster Hunter Wilds enters its first weekend on sale, the excitement continues to build. There's a strong possibility that the game will surpass the 1 million concurrent players mark on Steam today, potentially overtaking Cyberpunk 2077. Could it even reach 2 million concurrent players?
