The phenomenal success of *Monster Hunter Wilds* continues unabated, as it has now surpassed the 10 million sales mark, setting a new record for Capcom. This achievement marks the highest first-month sales in the company’s history, eclipsing all previous records. Remarkably, *Wilds* had already become the fastest-selling game for Capcom, reaching 8 million copies sold within just three days of its release.
In a statement to the press, Capcom shed light on the reasons behind *Monster Hunter Wilds'* extraordinary performance, which even surpassed the sales of *Monster Hunter World*. The company attributed this success to the introduction of crossplay and the simultaneous day-one launch across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. This was a significant shift from *World*, which saw a PC release six months after its console debut.
"The title provides an environment where a wider range of players can enjoy the game together with the introduction of crossplay, a first for the series, and a simultaneous release on PlayStation 5 system, Xbox Series X|S, and PC," Capcom stated.Capcom further highlighted that the introduction of the new Focus Mode mechanic and the seamless transitions between settlements and ecosystems have significantly enhanced the gaming experience. The integration of numerous new elements with the core appeal of *Monster Hunter* has generated substantial excitement, leading to the unprecedented first-month sales record of over 10 million units sold.
Looking ahead, *Monster Hunter Wilds Title Update 1* is set to launch on April 4, introducing a fan-favorite monster and the Grand Hub, a new in-game settlement designed for player interaction. *Title Update 2*, which will include the return of Lagiacrus, is scheduled for the summer. ### Monster Hunter Wilds Weapons Tier ListThe *Monster Hunter* series had already made a significant impact in the West with the 2018 release of *World*, which remains Capcom's best-selling game to date with 21.3 million copies sold. However, given the current trajectory, it seems highly probable that *Wilds* will eventually surpass this milestone.
