Pokémon GO's Halloween event is launching soon, and Niantic has revealed the details for Part 1 (with a Part 2 to follow!). Get ready for exciting features and spooky Pokémon encounters!
The event runs from Tuesday, October 22nd, 10:00 a.m. local time, to Monday, October 28th, 2024, 10:00 a.m. local time.
Event Highlights:
Morpeko makes its Pokémon GO debut! This Electric/Dark-type Pokémon boasts unique battle mechanics. Its Full Belly and Hangry Modes switch mid-battle, altering its Aura Wheel attack (Electric in Full Belly Mode, Dark in Hangry Mode). Both versions pack a powerful 100-power punch and boost Attack.
During the event, you'll have increased chances of encountering Morpeko in GO Battle League's premium track. After the event, it will still be available from Rank 16 onwards, though more frequent on the premium track.
The Halloween spirit is amplified with special event decorations and a remix of the classic Lavender Town theme playing nightly.
Dynamax Gastly appears in one-star Max Battles, alongside Grookey, Scorbunny, and Sobble.
A free Timed Research focusing on Spiritomb and its 108 spirits runs from October 22nd to November 3rd. Completing tasks rewards encounters with Halloween Pokémon, including Spiritomb and Morpeko.
