Mythical Island Expansion Announced for Pokémon TCG Pocket

• The New Mythical Island expansion will release on December 17th
• Pokémon TCG Pocket has amassed over 60 million downloads
• The holiday countdown campaign will kick off on December 24th

This may come as no surprise but Pokémon TCG Pocket has hit yet another milestone. Since its release in late October, it was downloaded 10 million times in less than a week. Now, a little over a month later, the popular trading card game has over a whopping 60 million downloads. Plus, there’s a new expansion coming soon.

Trading has always been popular in Pokémon and TCG Pocket has perfectly digitised the entire experience. It was even nominated for the Best Mobile Game at The Game Awards this year. And now if you feel like you’ve run out of things to do, the upcoming Mythical Island expansion is set to introduce new cards for you to collect. 

Launching December 17th, this update introduces a new set of collectable cards featuring stunning illustrations of various Pokémon, including the Mythical Pokémon Mew. Alongside the cards, you’ll find fresh binder and display board designs inspired by the enchanting landscapes of Mythical Island. 

The Mythical Island expansion also brings new opportunities for strategy. With additional cards available through booster packs and the Wonder Pick feature, you can experiment with innovative deck combinations. More information will be released on Pokémon’s official YouTube channel.

That’s not all because with the year wrapping up, there’s even more content to look forward to. A holiday countdown campaign kicks off on December 24th offering free rewards for everyone.
