Key improvements include updated player likenesses (e.g., Stephen Curry, Joel Embiid), court adjustments (Los Angeles Clippers logo, Emirates NBA Cup court), and uniform corrections (sponsor patches for several teams). The update also addresses several bugs, such as a rare hang in Play Now Online and leaderboard ranking inconsistencies.

Gameplay Enhancements in Patch 4.0

Patch 4.0 significantly enhances gameplay realism and player control. The "Light Pressure" shot mechanic now features three distinct levels (Weak, Moderate, Strong) for more nuanced shot feedback. Ball physics have been tweaked to reduce excessively long rebounds, and defensive mechanics have been adjusted to prevent unfair disruption of skill dunks. Finally, the Offensive 3 Seconds rule has been implemented in 1v1 Proving Grounds. Performance and stability improvements have also been made to City and Pro-Am modes.
