Ninja Gaiden 4 announced, Ninja Gaiden 2 remaster released

While *DOOM: The Dark Ages* stole the spotlight at Developer_Direct, it wasn't the only highlight for gaming enthusiasts. The event also brought exciting news with the announcement of *Ninja Gaiden 4*, the latest installment in Koei Tecmo's beloved series, slated for a fall 2025 release.

The debut trailer promises an action-packed slasher experience, with the iconic ninja Ryu Hayabusa returning as the protagonist. *Ninja Gaiden 4* introduces innovative mechanics, including the ability to swiftly navigate using wires and rails, as showcased in the gameplay trailer.

The game's setting is a cyberpunk city drenched in toxic rain, where players will battle hordes of modified soldiers and otherworldly creatures. The ultimate goal is to lift an ancient curse plaguing the megacity, adding depth to the narrative.

In addition to *Ninja Gaiden 4*, the presentation highlighted a massive remaster of *Ninja Gaiden 2*. Already available on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S, and included in the Game Pass catalog, this remaster has been ported to Unreal Engine 5 (UE5) by Team Ninja. The team has meticulously reworked character models, visual effects, and landscapes, and incorporated elements from newer series entries, including three additional playable characters.

Koei Tecmo's efforts have not gone unnoticed, and they rightfully deserve the community's current attention and praise.
