During today's Nintendo Switch 2 Direct, Nintendo showcased several key features of the system. The Nintendo Switch 2 sports a larger 7.9-inch screen compared to the original Switch, yet maintains the same thickness of 13.9mm. This new model doubles the pixel count, offering a 1080p display in handheld mode at up to 120fps. It's equipped with an LCD screen that supports HDR, enhancing visual quality. When docked, the system can handle up to 4K resolution with HDR, ensuring a breathtaking gaming experience on larger screens.

The Joy-Con 2 controllers feature a magnetic connection and a release button for easy detachment. The SL and SR buttons on the sides are larger, improving playability in horizontal mode, while the left and right sticks are also bigger for enhanced control. This segment also introduced mouse control support within the Joy-Con controllers, adding a new dimension to gameplay.

The handheld mode of the Nintendo Switch 2 includes a built-in microphone with noise-canceling technology and 3D audio for compatible games, elevating the audio experience. The system also comes with a larger, more robust stand that can be adjusted to various heights, enhancing versatility. Additionally, a top USB port allows for external camera connectivity or charging the system in tabletop mode.

Storage-wise, the Nintendo Switch 2 comes equipped with 256GB of internal storage, providing ample space for games and applications.
