The Directorate: Novitiate, a thrilling new action-RPG, plunges players into the magical underbelly of 2006 Los Angeles. Step into the shoes of Kana Luna, alias Mercury, and navigate a world where gunplay and magic intertwine within the shadowy depths of the Dark Syndicate. Developed by Nesting Games, this narrative-driven, single-player, third-person experience promises to be a 2025 highlight.
Engage in intense third-person combat, blending firearms and magical spells to hunt a supernatural serial killer. Progress through the game by upgrading both offensive and defensive capabilities, impacting gameplay significantly. Your choices extend beyond combat; Nesting Games emphasizes impactful narrative decisions, stating, "Even romance has risks. Every choice has consequences. Choose whether to stay loyal to the Edicts of the Directorate or retain your humanity in the real world." The game explores the theme of duality, forcing players to "navigate a treacherous path at night as a magical hitman and juggle your normal life during the day. When your two lives collide, beware who gets caught in the clash."
