The most impressive trailer from the recent State of Play showcase undoubtedly belonged to the new Onimusha title. Onimusha: Way of the Sword unveiled its protagonist: Miyamoto Musashi, whose likeness is strikingly modeled after the iconic Japanese actor Toshiro Mifune.
The trailer depicts Musashi engaging in intense combat against demons that have invaded Kyoto, punctuated by moments of humorous evasion. The narrative reveals Musashi's transformation into an Oni Gauntlet wielder, fueled by his unwavering faith. He battles the demonic hordes, absorbing their souls to replenish his health and unlock powerful abilities.
A remastered trailer for Onimusha 2 was also showcased, providing a stark visual comparison that underscores the remarkable advancements in gaming graphics over the years.
