Orna Quest Raises Awareness for Environment

Experience Orna's Terra's Legacy: A Real-World RPG Environmental Event!

Northern Forge Studios' Orna, the fantasy RPG and GPS MMO, is launching Terra's Legacy, a unique in-game event directly impacting the real world. From September 9th to 19th, players fight pollution-themed enemies and restore polluted locations by planting virtual trees and growing Gaia apples.

Combating Pollution, In-Game and Out

Terra's Legacy merges virtual exploration with real-world environmental action. While playing, Orna identifies real-world locations suffering from pollution or litter. Players report these spots, transforming them into in-game "Gloomsites" representing environmental damage.

Gloomsites are where players battle the Murk, pollution-themed enemies, evoking the spirit of Nausicaä or Princess Mononoke. Defeating the Murk raises awareness of real-world pollution. Players then plant virtual trees and cultivate Gaia apples in these same areas. These apples customize characters and enhance magical abilities, with the added bonus of being harvestable by other players. Increased player collaboration leads to cleaner virtual and real-world environments.

Orna's participation in the Green Game Jam 2024 underscores its commitment to environmental awareness. This annual event unites game developers globally to create environmentally focused in-game experiences.

Download Orna from the Google Play Store and join this environmental initiative!
