Moon Knight Star Oscar Isaac Exits Star Wars Event

Alright, so let's break this down: Oscar Isaac might actually be coming back as Moon Knight, and the big twist is that it could be in Avengers: Doomsday. Surprised? We are too, but there’s a recent development that gives this theory some weight.
Earlier this weekend, Star Wars Celebration's official social media announced that Isaac won't be attending the popular convention in Japan this year, citing "changes in his production schedule."
When Isaac's appearance at Star Wars Celebration was announced back in February, it made headlines and fueled speculation about Poe Dameron making a comeback. Since Daisy Ridley appeared at Star Wars Celebration 2023 to confirm her role in a new Star Wars film, fans wondered if Isaac was planning a similar reveal.
Of course, the exact details behind Isaac's schedule changes weren't shared, but given that Avengers: Doomsday is currently filming in London, fans quickly connected the dots, pointing to Moon Knight joining the Avengers.

Still, this idea remains a theory for now. Marvel does love a good surprise, but it's important to remember that Isaac wasn't among the many names officially confirmed for Doomsday's cast. However, Marvel Studios producer Kevin Feige clarified during a CinemaCon video call that the initial reveal didn't include everyone — “We revealed many, not all,” he said — so a little hope isn't out of the question.
Moon Knight's first season, a six-episode series starring Isaac, premiered in 2022, but a follow-up has yet to be confirmed. Avengers: Doomsday is scheduled to hit theaters on May 1, 2026, with a star-studded lineup of returning heroes and new faces, as highlighted in the big livestream announcement.
In other MCU news, fans are also scrutinizing Robert Downey Jr.’s hair after the Iron Man actor sent out a Doctor Doom-themed invitation for his upcoming 60th birthday celebration.
Last month's Avengers: Doomsday cast announcement featured a strong lineup of veteran X-Men actors. Kelsey Grammer, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Alan Cumming, Rebecca Romijn, and James Marsden are all confirmed for the film, signaling a major X-Men presence. Grammer, known for playing Beast in the Fox X-Men series, made his MCU debut in The Marvels' post-credits scene. Stewart, who previously portrayed Charles Xavier/Professor X in the X-Men films, briefly appeared in the MCU as part of the Illuminati in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. McKellen (Magneto), Cumming (Nightcrawler), Romijn (Mystique), and Marsden (Cyclops) have yet to debut in the MCU. This leads to an intriguing question: is Avengers: Doomsday secretly shaping up to be an Avengers vs. X-Men movie?
