Pedro Pascal Slams JK Rowling as 'Heinous Loser' Over Trans Comments

May 15,2025 Author: Julian

Pedro Pascal, renowned for his roles in acclaimed series like The Last of Us, The Mandalorian, and The Fantastic Four: First Steps, has publicly criticized Harry Potter author JK Rowling for her recent comments against the transgender community. This response came after Rowling celebrated a UK Supreme Court decision that legally defines "woman" as "a biological woman and biological sex," thereby excluding transgender women from protections under the Equality Act.

Rowling's celebratory post on Twitter/X, where she shared a photo of herself smoking a cigar and drinking by the ocean with the caption, "I love it when a plan comes together," was in reference to her financial support for the organization For Scotland Women, which filed the suit leading to the court's decision.

The controversy escalated when writer and activist Tariq Raouf posted a video on April 17 condemning Rowling's stance. Raouf described her actions as "serious Voldemort villain sht" and called for a boycott of all things related to Harry Potter. In response to Raouf's video, Pascal commented, "Awful disgusting SHT is exactly right. Heinous LOSER behavior."

Pascal's support for the transgender community is well-documented. He has previously shared sentiments such as, "I can’t think of anything more vile and small and pathetic than terrorizing the smallest, most vulnerable community of people who want nothing from you, except the right to exist," accompanied by a photo of a sign stating, "A world without trans people has never existed and never will." Additionally, he wore a shirt with the message "Protect the dolls" at the premiere of Thunderbolts in London, a phrase used within the LGBTQIA+ community to refer to trans women.

His advocacy is deeply personal as well; Pascal's sister, Lux Pascal, came out as a trans woman in 2021. Pedro Pascal publicly supported her, posting, "Mi hermana, mi corazón, nuestra Lux," which translates to "My sister, my heart, our Lux."

Pascal's outspoken stance against JK Rowling's views and his ongoing support for the transgender community highlight his commitment to advocating for equality and human rights.
