Pokémon Go has an exciting August planned, with major updates before the Cosy Companions and Munchlax Hatch Day events. Two key features launching soon are the Go Pass: August and Ultra Unlock: Origin Raid Day.
Beginning August 5th, the Pokémon Go Pass returns, highlighting Moltres after Articuno's arrival in June. As usual, you can collect Go Points to increase your rank and earn rewards such as Stardust, XP, and Poké Balls. The Deluxe version offers additional benefits, including a Super Incubator, bonus encounters, and premium items like Lure Modules and Battle Passes.
Reach Rank 75 on the Deluxe track to receive a Lucky Trinket. This special item lets you select one friend to become a Lucky Friend immediately, even without achieving Best Friends status. It is a single-use item that expires on September 7th, so choose your trade carefully.

On August 10th, the Ultra Unlock: Origin Raid Day reintroduces Dialga and Palkia in their Origin Formes. Both have a chance to be shiny and know their signature moves, Roar of Time and Spacial Rend, which unlock powerful Adventure Effects. These abilities can pause timers or extend encounter distances for up to 24 hours.
For free rewards during these events, check out this month's list of active Pokémon Go codes.
Event bonuses include up to 14 Raid Passes total, higher Rare Candy XL drop rates, and increased XP and Stardust from raids. A $4.99 event ticket unlocks additional rewards, and the Ultra Ticket Box on the Pokémon Go Web Store includes a complimentary Premium Battle Pass for extra value. The Go Pass Deluxe is also available via the Web Store for those interested.
