Pokemon GO January Community Day Classic: Ralts Takes Center Stage
Niantic has revealed that Ralts will be the star of the January 2025 Community Day Classic event. This guide details the event's features, bonuses, and in-app purchase options.
Mark your calendars! On January 25th, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM (local time), Ralts will be appearing more frequently in the wild, increasing your chances of finding a Shiny Ralts.
A special research story focused on Ralts will be available for $2 USD. Completing this research unlocks rewards including a Premium Battle Pass, a Rare Candy XL, and three encounters with Ralts featuring unique Dual Destiny-themed backgrounds.
Evolving your Ralts into Kirlia during the event (or within the five-hour post-event window) will grant Gardevoir or Gallade the powerful Charged Attack, "Synchronoise" (80 power in Trainer Battles, Gyms, and Raids).
Timed Research will also be available, offering 4 Sinnoh Stones and an encounter with a Ralts sporting a Dual Destiny-themed background. Unlike the main Community Day event, this research will remain accessible for a week after the event concludes.
Event Bonuses:
An Ultra Community Day Box, priced at $4.99 USD, will be available for purchase via the Pokémon GO Web Store starting January 21st, 2025, at 10:00 AM (local time). This box contains 10 Ultra Balls, 1 Elite Charged TM, and a Special Research ticket.

Niantic continues its monthly Community Day Classic events, each spotlighting a different Pokémon. November 2024 featured Mankey, while December's event will be a special two-day extravaganza featuring multiple Pokémon with boosted encounter rates and Shiny possibilities. These events consistently offer increased encounter rates for featured Pokémon (including Shiny variants), exclusive moves for evolved forms, and various gameplay bonuses.
