Niantic's upcoming seasons in Pokémon GO, Tales of Transformation, bring exciting updates for August and September. The Kanto Celebration kicks off the festivities soon. Dive in for all the details!
First up is the Kanto Celebration, running from September 2nd at 10:00 a.m. to September 7th, 2025, at 8:00 p.m. It honors the region where the series began. Look for Chansey, Snorlax, Abra, and other Kanto Pokémon appearing in the wild.
Event bonuses include one guaranteed Candy XL when evolving Pokémon, triple the duration for Mega Evolutions, and double XP from spinning PokéStops. Evolving Ivysaur, Charmeleon, or Wartortle during the event will reward you with Venusaur knowing Frenzy Plant, Charizard with Blast Burn, and Blastoise with Hydro Cannon.
The Tales of Transformation season spans from September 2nd to December 2nd, 2025, in Pokémon GO. It marks the debut of Keldeo in its Resolute Form. Trainers who already have Keldeo can strengthen their bond to earn more Candy.
Mega Evolutions for Sharpedo, Camerupt, and Metagross are making their first appearances in Raid Days. New Pokémon like Dipplin and Hydrapple are also joining the game for the first time.
In battles, Dynamax and Gigantamax Pokémon are entering the arena. Gigantamax Garbodor and Dynamax Duraludon are featured as major raid challenges. Team GO Rocket’s Shadow Groudon debuts in Shadow Raids, coinciding with Giovanni’s return.
From September 9th to 14th, Pokémon GO collaborates with Netflix’s stop-motion series Pokémon Concierge. Psyduck wearing a swim ring makes its debut, including a shiny variant. Sealeo and Shinx will also appear in the wild.
