Niantic has just unveiled the Wayfarer Challenge in Pokémon Go, offering trainers in Chile and India an exciting opportunity to influence their local gaming environment while earning exclusive rewards. By engaging with the Niantic Wayfarer platform to review and approve Wayspot nominations, you play a crucial role in adding new PokéStops and Gyms to Pokémon Go, all while striving for special milestone rewards.
The Pokémon Go Wayfarer Challenge is scheduled from March 7th to 9th in Chile and from March 10th to 12th in India. During these dates, you can nominate real-world locations like landmarks, sculptures, street art, and more to potentially become PokéStops and Gyms.
Your efforts in reviewing nominations help reach community milestones. Achieve 5,000 resolved nominations, and all participants will be rewarded with 20 Ultra Balls, a Star Piece, an Incense, and a Poffin. Push the community further to 10,000 approvals, and the rewards escalate to 25 Ultra Balls, two Star Pieces, two Incense, two Poffins, and a Lucky Egg.
Participation in the Wayfarer Challenge requires you to be at least level 37 in Pokémon Go and to have a Niantic Wayfarer account. New users must complete the Wayfarer Orientation before they can start reviewing nominations.
To be eligible for rewards, you must have recently played in Chile or India, or have set your Wayfarer Hometown or Bonus Location to one of these countries. Additionally, you need to review at least 50 nominations, and at least one milestone must be achieved.

Simultaneously, the PokéStop Challenge event will take place from March 9th to 12th, exclusively in Chile and India. Exploring newly added PokéStops during this event will grant you 3x XP for first-time visits, 3x Stardust from opening Gifts, and an increase in Kecleon spawns. Engage with Event Field Research to encounter Eevee, and take on Timed Research for chances to catch other Pokémon.
