Pokemon GO has announced the locations for its 2025 GO Fest: Osaka, Japan; Jersey City, New Jersey; and Paris, France. Dates are set for May 29-June 1 (Osaka), June 6-8 (Jersey City), and June 13-15 (Paris). Further details, including ticket pricing and event specifics, are forthcoming.
While the initial excitement surrounding Pokemon GO has lessened, the annual GO Fest remains a significant draw for players worldwide. These events typically feature unique Pokemon spawns, including region-exclusive or previously unavailable Shiny Pokemon. The global event offers many of the same benefits for those unable to attend in person.
2024 GO Fest: A Potential Indicator for 2025 Pricing?
Ticket prices for past GO Fests have shown regional variations and minor year-to-year fluctuations. However, a recent price hike for Community Day tickets – from $1 to $2 USD – has sparked player concern about potential GO Fest price increases. Given the negative player reaction to this smaller price adjustment, Niantic may be cautious about raising GO Fest prices, especially considering the dedication of attendees who travel to these events. The pricing for the 2024 GO Fest (approximately ¥3500-¥3600 in Japan, $33 in Europe, $30 in the US, and $14.99 globally) might offer some insight into the 2025 pricing strategy. The company will likely release more details as the event draws closer.
