Sep 25,2025 Author: Eric

The Pokémon Company has revealed that Pokémon Legends: Z-A and its Nintendo Switch 2 Edition will launch on October 16, 2025, with preorders opening June 5.

A new Pokémon Presents showcase is scheduled for July 22 to share the latest Pokémon news. The company also launched new Mega Evolution merchandise now available at Pokémon Center stores.

Players purchasing either physical or digital Pokémon Legends: Z-A for Nintendo Switch can upgrade to the enhanced Switch 2 version for $10 through the Nintendo eShop or My Nintendo Store. The upgraded edition delivers superior graphics and smoother performance.

Cover Art and Game Details Revealed

The official box art depicts the protagonists and their partner Pokémon engaged in a nighttime battle against a Mega-Evolved creature in Lumiose City.

Pokémon Legends: Z-A redefines the franchise with an RPG narrative set entirely within one metropolis, introducing real-time battles and action elements never before seen in the series. Trainers will experience a groundbreaking adventure unfolding through the interconnected lives of humans and Pokémon in Lumiose City.
