As 2024 draws to a close, the excitement for 2025 is palpable, and Niantic is joining the festivities with the New Year's 2025 event in Pokémon Go. This event marks the beginning of a series of celebrations, including the Fidough Fetch and the much-anticipated Sprigatito Community Day.
Following these events, the Eggs-pedition Access kicks off on January 1st as part of the ongoing Dual Destiny season, lasting the entire month. For just $4.99, you can unlock a slew of perks to enhance your Pokémon-catching adventures until January 31st. Your ability to manage Gifts will see a significant boost, allowing you to store up to 40 Gifts in your Item Bag, open up to 50 Gifts daily, and collect 150 from spinning Photo Discs. Get a sneak peek of the event right here!
The New Year's 2025 event in Pokémon Go is set to run from December 30th, 2024, at 10:00 am to January 1st, 2025, at 8:00 pm. While there won't be any new Pokémon, Shinies, or costumes this year, which might be a bit disappointing, there's still plenty of fun to be had.
You'll encounter wild spawns such as Jigglypuff adorned with a ribbon, Hoothoot in a New Year's outfit, and Wurmple sporting a party hat—all of which have the chance to be Shiny. Event bonuses include earning 2,025 XP for Excellent Throws and the spectacle of festive fireworks lighting up the skies, adding a touch of magic to your adventures.
Tier One raids will feature Pikachu donning a snowflake beanie, while Tier Three raids will include Raticate and Wobbuffet, both dressed in party hats, with increased chances of encountering their Shiny forms. Engage in Field Research tasks and participate in PokéStop Showcases for encounters with themed Pokémon, keeping the excitement alive.
If you're eager to join the festivities, download Pokémon Go from the Google Play Store and prepare for the New Year's 2025 Event. Before you venture out, don't miss our detailed coverage of Night Crimson, the latest update to Sword of Convallaria, featuring new SP Characters.
