Pokémon Go Tests Go Pass in Select Regions

May 14,2025 Author: Emma

Pokémon Go enthusiasts, get ready for an exciting new feature that's currently being tested in select regions: the Go Pass. Inspired by the success of the Tour Pass during the Pokémon Go Tour: Unova, this innovative system is set to roll out globally soon. If you're lucky enough to be in one of the eligible areas, you can dive into the Go Pass: April event, running from April 1st to May 6th, and snag a plethora of fantastic rewards.

Battle passes have become a staple in the gaming world, and now Pokémon Go is jumping on the bandwagon. During the event, you'll collect Go Points to level up your pass and unlock a variety of rewards. These include encounters with the majestic Xerneas, as well as essential items like Stardust, XP, and Poké Balls.

The Go Pass comes in two tiers: the free version and the Deluxe tier. While the free pass is a great way to enjoy the game, the Go Pass Deluxe takes your rewards to the next level. It offers premium perks like a Lucky Trinket, Candy XL, and a selection of useful items, including Incubators and Lure Modules. You can upgrade to the Deluxe tier at any time and retroactively claim rewards from ranks you've already unlocked.

As you progress through the Go Pass, you'll hit Major Milestones that unlock even more benefits. At Tier one, you'll enjoy an extended duration for Daily Adventure Incense. Tier two boosts the XP and Stardust you earn from Research Breakthroughs, and Tier three enhances the Stardust and XP gained from hatching Eggs. And for the ultimate reward, the final Deluxe tier offers another Lucky Trinket, ensuring you can guarantee a Lucky Friend.

Don't forget to grab some additional freebies by redeeming *Pokémon Go codes!*

Since the Go Pass is still in its testing phase, the rewards and structure may differ across regions. Some areas might encounter different Pokémon, receive adjusted item rewards, or even earn PokéCoins at certain ranks. These variations will help Niantic perfect the system before its broader release.

If you're in an eligible region, this is your golden opportunity to experience the Go Pass before its global rollout. Be sure to claim all your earned rewards by May 8th, and remember to use your Lucky Trinket before it expires on May 11th!
