Potential Pokemon Legends: Z-A Release Date Leaks Online

Pokémon Legends: Z-A - August 15, 2025 Release Date Leak

A potential release date for Pokémon Legends: Z-A has surfaced online, pointing towards an August 15, 2025 launch. This date, initially spotted on Amazon UK in early January 2025 and quickly removed, aligns with The Pokémon Company's previously stated 2025 release window.

Initially unveiled during the February 2024 Pokémon Day celebrations, Pokémon Legends: Z-A is the anticipated sequel to 2022's Pokémon Legends: Arceus. Following the exploration-focused gameplay of its predecessor, which eschewed traditional gym battles and the Pokémon League for a more open-ended collecting experience, details about Pokémon Legends: Z-A have remained scarce since its announcement.

The Amazon UK listing briefly showing an August 15th release date (later changed back to a December 31st placeholder) adds fuel to the speculation. Content creator Light88 was among those who initially reported the leaked information.

February 2025 Confirmation Possible?

The official release date may be revealed sooner than expected. Considering the original game announcement during Pokémon Day 2024, it's highly likely the release date will be confirmed during the 2025 Pokémon Day event, anticipated for February 27th (the anniversary of the original Japanese Pokémon Red and Green releases). Recent findings from a Pokémon GO data miner further support this February 27th date.

Beyond the release date, fans eagerly await a gameplay reveal, potentially also showcased during the February 2025 Pokémon Presents broadcast.

Pokémon Legends: Z-A will be released on Nintendo Switch, and is also confirmed to be playable on the upcoming Switch 2, thanks to backward compatibility. While past mainline Pokémon games have included paid DLC, Pokémon Legends: Arceus only received one free post-launch update, "Daybreak."
