The monster is back for more: the teaser trailer for the upcoming sci-fi action sequel Predator: Badlands has just been released online, generating buzz among fans.
In the teaser, we are introduced to Elle Fanning's character, who seems to inhabit a perilous future on a remote planet. What sets this installment apart is the unique twist on the classic Predator narrative. The teaser suggests that the Predator she encounters is different from previous iterations and might even serve as the protagonist. The tagline, "The director of Prey welcomes you to a world of pain," promises an intense experience.
Alongside the new Predator, there are evident references to the *Alien* universe, fueling speculation that *Badlands* might be setting the stage for a new *Aliens vs Predator* film. Notably, Fanning's character displays the Weyland Yutani reboot effect in her eyes, reminiscent of the synthetics in *Alien: Romulus*, hinting she could be an android. Additionally, a glimpse of the Weyland Yutani logo—the infamous corporation from the *Alien* franchise—appears on a damaged vehicle. That's the Weyland Yutani logo on Elle Fanning's eyes.
