After initiating the account deletion, Riot Games will take 30 days to permanently remove it. During this period, your account will remain inactive. Once the 30 days pass, your account, including your username, skins, and all personal data, will be irreversibly deleted, freeing up your username for other players to use. If you change your mind, you can contact support within 25 days to request the account not be deleted.
No, once the 30-day period elapses, your account cannot be restored. If your account was compromised and deleted by hackers, you can reach out to Riot Games support for assistance, though success is not guaranteed, especially if the account has been fully deleted.

The motivations for deleting an account vary widely, ranging from a loss of interest in the game to combating gaming addiction. For those struggling with gaming addiction, deleting the account can be a critical step to prevent further engagement with games like LoL. Excessive gaming can lead to severe consequences such as job loss, dropping out of school, and social isolation, affecting players of all ages. While deleting the game might offer a temporary respite, a complete account deletion could be the only way to break free from the grip of gaming addiction and refocus on real-life responsibilities like studies or work.
