PUBG Mobile unveils exciting plans for 2025, building on the success of the 2024 Global Championship. The new year kicks off with Metro Royale Chapter 24 in January, featuring a revamped gameplay experience with enhanced blue zones and airdrop mechanics.
March 2025 will mark PUBG Mobile's 7th anniversary, themed around the "Hourglass" concept of time and transformation. This anniversary celebration will introduce the Time Reversal skill and bring back beloved features like the Floating Island, alongside a nostalgic visual refresh.
Also launching in March is the new 8x8km map, Rondo. Inspired by Asian architecture and urban landscapes, this map, originally from PUBG: Battlegrounds, is optimized for mobile devices. For players seeking similar experiences, a comprehensive list of top Android battle royales is readily available.
The creative World of Wonder mode continues to flourish, boasting over 3.3 million player-created maps. Increased resources and rewards will further empower creators, fostering community engagement. The Nexstar Program partnership offers additional opportunities for aspiring creators.
Finally, PUBG Mobile is significantly expanding its esports scene in 2025, investing over $10 million in prize pools, female-focused competitions, and third-party tournaments. This substantial investment aims to support both amateur and professional players.
